Profile Plasterboard Lift
When installing drywall on the ceiling, one always encounters the difficulty of lifting sheets to a height. This is almost impossible to do alone. And even working in pairs, even three of us, there is a problem of holding the material until it is firmly fixed on the ceiling structures.
But you can make a special lift for these purposes. He will be a good and reliable assistant in the repair work indoors. Its design is simple, it requires a little material, the most popular tools, anyone can make it.
From the materials for the manufacture of devices it is necessary to prepare: a profile pipe measuring 25x50, 20x40, 20x20 mm; nuts and bolts M6, M10; wheels that are mounted on furniture; steel 4 mm wire; sheet 2 mm iron; a piece of a half-inch pipe and a metal rod that goes into it; drive vazovsky window "classic".
Tools that will be needed in the work: welding machine; drill (screwdriver); keys; sandpaper; Bulgarian; drill; hand tool; tassels; paint.
First, the mechanism for manually opening glasses in a VAZ is redone. This is necessary due to the fact that the bolts with which it is attached are unreliable, and, most importantly, short. Drill two fasteners and install in their place bolts M6 of increased length. Screw nuts on them, which will ensure the integrity of the mechanism body.
A plate about 11x8 cm in size is cut out of a sheet of steel. A V-shaped recess is arranged in the center of one of the large sides, the corners on the same edge are cut at an angle of 45 °. Near its corners, two holes are drilled through which they are mounted on the protrusions of the bolts of the gearbox of the lifting mechanism and fixed with nuts.
To the segment (155 cm) of the profile pipe 25x50, at a distance of 25 cm from its edge, a plate is lifted by a plate lifting mechanism. For removable and height-adjustable spacers, four 11-centimeter sections are prepared from the same profile pipe. In each on one of the smaller surfaces, having departed from the edges of 2 cm, two holes are drilled. M10 nuts are placed above them, which are seized by welding to the segments.
Two rails are welded at the bottom of the rack (the prepared segments with the nuts up) parallel to one another, above them and perpendicular to them, the two remaining. They have 50-60 cm spacers from a pipe measuring 20x40 in the direction of the width of the drywall sheet and 70 ... 90 of its length. To align in height to the ends of the upper struts welded from below the pipe segments of the corresponding height. At the ends of all four spacers, furniture wheels are mounted on bolts that are screwed into pre-welded nuts. Get the unit for moving the device on the floor.
At the end of the rack, on which the lifting mechanism is mounted and parallel to it, an additional roller is arranged on the mounting plate through which the cable from the power window is thrown. In the body of the rack, in its upper part, a small groove is cut out to accommodate the roller, which will lift the inner tube with a cable.
The latter is made 170 cm long from a 29x40 pipe. In it, from the other end, at a distance of 35 cm from it, a 5-mm hole for a cable is drilled in which it is clamped.
Next, make the swivel mechanism of the platform on which the drywall sheet is located when lifting. Three pieces of 70 mm are cut from a half-inch pipe. A piece (10 ... 15 cm) of 25x50 pipe is welded to one, with which the mechanism is worn on top of the inner pipe in the rack. This segment is placed in the middle between the two remaining ones and sit on one rod. Then the extreme ones are welded to the middle part of a pipe segment 25x50 80 cm long (a sheet of drywall will be held on it). A device is arranged on the mechanism in the form of a bolt and a nut, with which it is possible to fix its position when the entire lifting part is in a horizontal position.
At the ends of an 80-centimeter pipe, two retractable pipe sections of 20x20 are introduced. To their free ends are welded in the middle part of the transverse sections of the pipe 20x20. The locking of the sliding elements is carried out by bolts, through pre-arranged holes and welded nuts.
The ends of all the sliding elements are equipped with wire grippers, hooks, fixing the edges of the drywall sheet. They are mounted on bolts with the possibility of rotation. They are fixed in the working position by the support pins being lowered under them near the ends of the sliding elements.
Begin work by bringing the device into position. Extend to the maximum its supporting part, the upper rotary platform. The latter is placed in a vertical plane, a plasterboard sheet is loaded onto it. After deployed in a horizontal plane and fixed in this position. Then the sheet is moved to the right place and raised to the ceiling.
